Bet on Anything?
Ever since seeing their ads, I’ve been meaning to take a look at the website that says you can make a wager on anything.
Can you really? I finally took a look.
Best I can tell, as a registered user you can suggest a wager on anything as long as it’s not really obscure.
in other words, they not going to accept a bet on ‘will a rhinoceros walk through my front yard today?’
But they might accept your proposal to lay bets on whether there will rhinoceroses in the United States by the year 2050. (Should that be rhinoceri?)
There’s almost every sporting event to wager on, as well as things like who will be the next presidential candidates for either party.
A little more fun is betting on who is going to win the next Survivor. Or who will win Best Actor at the Oscars.
For fun, I started looking for the more off-beat and found these:
· Betting on the Rotten Tomatoes score for Scream 7.
· Total inches of snow Philadelphia gets this year.
· Who will have the #`1 song on Spotify next month?
· Will the new Bruno Mars album have 10 tracks, or 11?
· Will the U.S. confirm the existence of aliens by 2027?
Honestly, I was hoping to create some personal wagers about me. Then I could help you win some money by giving you hints on how to bet. Like this:
· Will I put lime in my gin and tonic? (Go with yes on that one.)
· How about lime in the coconut? (Cute song but unlikely. Bet no.)
· Will I put another dent in my truck this year? (That one’s a coin toss.)
· What’s the next flag I paint on my toenails? (Bet on Scotland but...)
· Will I eat collards during this year? (I will eat ‘em, but I try to avoid it. Bet small.)
· Will I pass gas today? (Bet the farm, take out a loan and bet some more! Payday is coming!)
